mr sprite: a tale of two weddings... and a whole bunch of other stuff

in two weeks i have gone to two very different weddings, one a super atas black tie dress code one at chijmes complete with ginormous fish bowls (with fish) on every table and rolls royce wedding car under the supervision of 3 frantic looking wedding planners;(deep breath) and another much lower key one in a church hall and set up with alot of help from friends and family. the main difference btw the two, other than the lavishness (is that even a word??) is that one was the wedding of two above 35 pple and one was btw two just above 25 pple. no points for guessing which is which heh. and it led me to think: is it better to earn lots of money first and be able to afford lots of things, a nice wedding, a nice house, a nice car etc before getting married, or would it be better to struggle tgt but have a longer married life? esp now that people are living longer and so even if u get married at 40 you would probably be able to enjoy at least 35 years of married life. and i guess the cliched thing is to choose the more romantic sounding one of two young people in love and planning to forge a life and future tgt etc etc but i really dunno man. i kinda think that if by some twist of fate i were to really get married, i would rather have money before I DO haha. on a funnier note, there was a person sobbing histerically behind me at chris &leos wedding who was being disturbed by her neighbours and said "shut up!" super loudy during the ceremony. esther and i were totally not-very-ahm qioing LOL

anyway, today was a cool day. went for dim sum dollies with shalom+chiara+ina's friend, which, tho it made me cringe at times with its overt brainwashing patriotism, was pretty funny at times laaaaa. tho i think it could have been better i suppose. too near national day alr haha. aakash birthday gathering at PIZZA HUT (of all places- dont go there, the std has really dropped alot!) was great! haha. we were totally the noisest pple there RECS+sharan were embarrassing the guys alot haha. oh wells. was good to meet everyone again!its great that tho we dont meet up that often, when we do, its always loads of fun :) was nice to get caught up with all the gossip too! haha. and like everyone drives now! gosh. we are old haggies haha.

and sorry abt the emoness of the last post... felt 100 times beter after a good sleep!
